Canada Shows It Has Game

Looks like Canada is trying to prove that it can handle some serious gaming. On May 5 & 6 UGC Niagara will kick off an Xbox tournament in Niagara Falls, Ontario with payouts up to $30,000 in cash and prizes. Games include Modern Warfare 3, Gears of War 3 and of course being from Canada, NHL 12.

Not only is the event awesome, it is headed up by the District School Board of Niagara and Kiwanis International as a fundraiser with the proceeds going straight back to charity. All this means you can prove your game and support an awesome cause.

The tournament itself is being managed Jet Set Studio, company that specializes in video game event management. Jet Set, having recently wrapped up The Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge, is sure to put on a kick ass event.

So what are you waiting for? The event is nearly here, and with registration closing April 29th, you need to register yesterday.
