You didn’t think that will all this controversy over Spore that there wasn’t going to be a lawsuit did you? Good, because Alan Himmelfarb with KamberEdelson has filed a Class Action lawsuit against Electronic Arts over the DRM included with Spore. The suit, filed on Monday is on behalf of Melissa Thomas and “all consumers globally who have purchased the Spore computer game.”

If you are wondering exactly why this suit is heading to court it is because:

The class claims that “Spore,” a virtual reality simulation game, contains “a second, undisclosed program” called SecuROM, a “form of Digital Rights Management (DRM) for computer games.”

If this suit goes through I have a lot of lawsuits to file.
