Chrono Trigger DS will contain 2 player wireless mode
Even though the original release of Chrono Trigger for the SNES was almost 13 years ago, the fandom and praise for this RPG is still going strong today, with the game topping many best games of all times list. So it was no surprised when fans got excited when Square Enix announced an enhanced port of the classic game will be heading to the Nintendo DS this holiday season.
These new enhancements would include touch screen support, duel screen presentation, a brand new dungeon, the cut scenes will be included from the PlayStation version and also that there will be a wireless play mode.
There is not much info available as of now about the wireless play mode, but Siliconera came across an interesting tidbit on the official Japanese website that the game will support 2 players. While info is scarce, David Hinkle over at DS Fanboy had a few ideas of what it could be:
We’re kind of leaning toward co-op play, like possible in Secret of Mana. Either that or some kind of dungeon rush mode or whatever.
Let’s hoping more information will be revealed soon.
