Metal Gear Solid Rising

With all the E3 madness going on today, there are a billion news stories flying around, most of which are mere shoutouts to eventual bigger stories. That being the case, the next few posts will be quick, but important.
Today, Metal Gear Solid Rising was announced for Xbox360 – and we learned that it will not be exclusive. Nonetheless, it will be the first modern Metal Gear title to venture away from Playstation exclusivity at launch, which is pretty awesome for fans of the series who only own other consoles.
The playable character will be Raiden, and he looks all scary and tough. Tons more to come on this, I’m sure.

“it will be the first Metal Gear title to venture away from Playstation exclusivity”
Really?
Metal Gear – NES
Metal Gear 2 – MSX
Metal Gear Solid – GCN, GBC & PC
Metal Gear Solid 2 – Xbox & PC
So far, aside from the side things (Portable Ops, Acid!, & the graphic novel), only the two most recent games were exclusive to the PS series.
I’m glad you put that list together.
You try writing after an 11 hour work day
Though I did amend my comment. Thanks.
It happens.
Though truth be told, if you worked in Japan, at hour 11 is when the work ball gets rolling. ^___^
Well I pretty much think the world over would agree that the Japanese are far superior to the rest of the planet.
I think the die hard Metal Gear fans will agree that without it being based on Solid Snake, this is not MGS 5. That might make it easier to swallow the fact that its heading to 360.
Good for MS for breaking the exclusivity – Sony must be pissed.
As someone who now only owns a 360, I’m pleased. I do still want to grab a PS3 someday for the MGS I’ve missed, but that’s on a very eventual to-do list.
Having played the hell out of MGS1-3, and having hated Raiden in MGS2, I’m interested to play this as the first opportunity I’ve had to convince me Raiden isn’t as stupid as MGS2 made me believe.
