Resident Evil: Director’s Cut on PSN
The first few Resident Evil titles are the stuff of pure zombie magic. The zombies were stupid, the story was dramatic, the camera angles and control were a pain in the ass, and it made for wonderful gaming. The classics are vastly different in personality from the more modern titles in the series, and are old enough to become things of nostalgia when we re-live them.
Playstation owners will soon have a chance to head back to that old haunted mansion outside Racoon City on the night of July 24, 1998, and fight for their lives against the creeping undead consequences of Umbrella. PSN will be releasing the Director’s Cut of the original Resident Evil title on May 28; a date which happens to be just around the corner. It’s going to cost a measly $9.99, which is a tiny price to pay to escape to a simpler time when Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine were still pals with the now-baddie Albert Wesker.
There’s also that Barry fellow…
