Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Confirmed
I like how things are being officially announced via Twitter all the time now. Today, Capcom tweeted 140 characters that made US gamers very happy: Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is headed for a North American release. The announcement was followed up with a more in-depth notice on Capcom’s blog.
For those unaware, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is a crossover fighting game blending, you guessed it, characters from Japanese animation company Tatsunoko Productions and Capcom games. The play style is along the terms of Marvel Vs. Capcom or Capcom Vs. SNK. A link is provided above to the Wikipedia entry for Tatsunoko, if you’d like to familiarize yourself with some of their credits. If you don’t know any Capcom games, well, I don’t particularly care about you. The game was never to be released in America thanks to silly legal stuff, but it seems we’re past all that now.
More details will be given at E3, but for now, all you Japanese-loving fighter fans can rejoice… and wonder how cool this will be on Wii.
