New Xbox Elite Bundled with Halo 3, Fable II
Thinking about investing in the slick, black Xbox Elite console? Great idea, Johnny! Microsoft will be releasing the Elite console in a “Games of the Year” bundle, which just might be the best bundle offering yet for the system.
The Elite system of course comes complete with the wireless headset mic and controller, as well as a copy of both Halo 3 and Fable II, two of the most successful and acclaimed games available for the box. The best bit of all is that the package will sell for $399, the everyday price for the Elite system. How can you go wrong with that?
The Elite console is equipped with an HDMI port, DVD upscaling, a 120gb hard drive, and a free Netflix trial. When you throw in those two free games, it is a revolutionary deal that renders buying a standard 360 utter nonsense. It won’t last forever, so buy it now.

I have an Elite myself, I bought it almost a year ago. I got it both for the HDMI port and the larger hard drive. If you don’t have a 360 yet (and you can afford $400) then definitely go with this Elite bundle.
I do find it interesting though that MS hasn’t increased the size of the hard drive in the Elite yet.
It is odd, for competition’s sake. The people who store all kinds of videos and music on their system would like it. Personally, I don’t keep that stuff on my machine, and I have the ancient 10GB system since it hasn’t RROD’d yet. I have 30some XBLA games, about 4GB worth of Rock Band tracks, and all my game saves… and still have half the drive empty.
However, how you have the ability to “install” the games to the hard drive for faster loading and quieter operation. Which means that more than just the people with lots of video and music will benefit from more space.
Although, 120GB is still a whole lot of game installs.
And this is also coming from the guy who just upgraded his PS3 to a 320GB hard drive
Haha, well, that is true. I forgot about that game install option. I guess I’m not that impatient to wait an extra few seconds
lol. Personally I don’t know how loud the system is, but anything to reduce the noise works for me.
This is certainly a good deal for anyone who hasn’t purchased one.
