The sequel has been confirmed as a multi-platform title releasing soon, but a solid release date hasn’t been established yet. The sequel will take place in a pseudo-Vegas, dubbed “Fortune City”, a few years after the initial virus outbreak of the first game. It hasn’t been confirmed that the original protagonist will make it into the sequel, but I’d assume the chances are pretty good.

Blue Castle Games will take the reins on the series this time around, although members of the original Dead Rising will be consulting and working alongside the new developer throughout the process.

Hopefully a few of the issues that plagued the first game will be resolved and standard definition TV users will get a little love with Capcom telling Blue Castle to bump up the font size a bit.
