Installing games with new Xbox 360 Dashboard
This video was uploaded today by Tipster Larry B, demonstrating how to install games on your hard drive with the new Xbox dashboard. Installing games will help decrease load times, but you are still required to insert the disc to play, for DRM reasons.
Thats cool i geuss that it loads faster but not only does it take up his entire hardrive, but one of the reasons that i like consoles better than pc is that i dont have to install. so im not really sure about this one.
Ps. when does this update come out????
With either the super tiny supplied HDD or one of their expensive proprietary models? No thanks.
I guess I am fortunate enough to not be too bothered by loading times.

The update is said to be released in “fall 08″
Update will be coming out in less than 2 weeks for now!
Im well up for the fact you get to install games rather than havin the annoying noise from the console’s DVD Drive! Also should would prob reduce the temp of the console!
What’s the point in installing it if you still need the game to run it in the first place? Kind of defeats some of the point doesn’t it? :S
The disc will be used to verify that you still actually own the game. It will not be used to load the game in any way. So I assume the disc will spin up to verify that it’s the right disc and then spin down while the game starts loading off of your hard drive.
Since the 360 dvd drive is louder than my tower fan, this is a welcomed feature. I have turn to my TV up just to hear the game because the disc drive is so loud.

i dont understand because it takes the whole space on the hard drive and you still need the game
Does someone know when PGR4 for Xbox360 will be released?
